Supra Cable CAT 8
New test report:
The SUPRA Cat8 + exceeds the specification of the 7A category of EN50288 and IEC61156. It shows excellent crosstalk attenuation, low losses, is well shielded and mechanically robust. Its bandwidth is 1300 MHz. The 22AWG full copper ladder, the foamed PE insulation, the high quality screen and the low cable capacity allow long laying distances. Typical applications: Laying cables for networks. Ideal for all multimedia applications from class D to FA, such as video, data and voice transmission in 10 Gigabitethernet to IEEE802.3an, VoIP, PoE.
For network cables, there are two important points: On the one hand, the shielding and on the other, that you twisted the pairs of wires together. The reason lies in the possible crosstalk of the signals from conductor pair to conductor pair. An important difference to digital audio transmission is that network traffic is governed by a protocol that allows feedback between sender and receiver. If the cable can not transmit the signals correctly, the transmission speed is reduced so much that the transmission can be terminated.
This abbreviation stands for Flame Retardant Halogen Free, which means that the cable is flame-retardant and therefore may be used for installation and use in public facilities and buildings. The special features of such a classification are:
- Excellent flame retardance
- Without halogen
- Little smoke in case of fire
- Less harmful gas emission
